“My daily routine is to train every day. When it’s time to train, you must train, no excuses,” she said when interviewed by TVS at Megalanes Emart Batu Kawa here today.

“For me, focus is crucial in every competition like tenpin bowling. When I stay focused, the chances of winning are very high,” she added.

The 31-year-old expressed her gratitude to the various parties who supported her throughout her journey, acknowledging that her success did not come without the backing of others.

“I would like to thank the Sarawak government for providing great support throughout the training process.

“The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Tenpin Bowling Association also played a significant role, particularly in technical aspects and training.

“Special thanks also go to my family, especially my husband, children, and friends who have always been my backbone in supporting me in this sports journey,” she said.

Amalina, who was also the gold medalist in last year’s edition of the games, has her sights set on defending her title in future competitions.

Meanwhile, Selangor’s para athlete, Nurhidayah Sulaiman, earned the silver medal with 878 pinfalls, while Kedah’s Amalea Nasuha Anizan claimed the bronze with 564 pinfalls. — DayakDaily
