Floor cracks appear on new RM242,879.20 Miri basketball court

MIRI, June 22: Several cracks on the floor of a recently completed RM242,879.20 multipurpose basketball court in Taman Awam Miri were detected during an inspection today.

The construction of the multipurpose basketball court with a roofed shed was financed via Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) funds allocated to Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin.

“During this morning’s inspection, I can see cracks on the floors, and I have requested Miri City Council (MCC) to ask the contractor to come back and rectify all the defects immediately under the contract retention sum,” Lee revealed when met after inspecting the court today.

The project’s defect liability period is from November 8, 2019 to November 7 this year. It was completed on November 8 last year. — DayakDaily
