KUCHING, July 7: Three areas in Beluru, Miri, were flooded following two days of heavy downpours.
According to a report from Miri Civil Defence Force (APM), due to the heavy on July 5 and 6, the water level in Sungai Seputi Bok started rising to about three and a half feet and overflowed to the low-laying areas nearby.
“Among the areas affected are Rumah (Rh) Janggu Langgit, Rh Sultan Annai, and SK Sungai Seputi,” it said.
It said as of today, no casualties were reported, and no temporary evacuation centres (PPS) have been opened.
“The situation is currently under control. APM Miri volunteer members will also be on standby and continue to monitor the situation,” it added. — DayakDaily
