BETONG, Dec 16: Rumah Willian Buluh Antu longhouse in Padeh here was cut off from road access following rising water levels of Batang Padeh since 10am today.
According to one of the villagers, Cecilia William, the road entrance to the village was still flooded as of 3.19pm, after an overflow from the nearby Batang Padeh.
“The 25-door longhouse and its 50 occupants were cut off from the main road connectivity as the road entrance was flooded under almost two feet of water,” she said.
Two firefighters from Betong Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), PBK I Henry Jugah and PBK II Edwin Jonani went to the scene to monitor the situation. — DayakDaily
