KANOWIT, Jan 13: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) rescued a couple and their four-month-old baby girl this morning after a flooding incident left their vehicle stranded along Jalan Lukut-Penyulau.
According to a Bomba spokesperson, the family was travelling from Sibu to Kanowit Town to deliver vegetables but could not pass through the flooded road, leaving them stranded.

Bomba received a call about the incident at 6.15am and sent firefighters from the Kanowit station to the location.
Upon arrival at 6.50am, the operations commander reported that the floodwater was about 1.2m deep.
The family was rescued and brought to safety at 7.33am. — DayakDaily
