SIBU, March 13: A 54-year-old man sustained minor injuries after a chain collision involving five vehicles on Jalan Pahlawan here last night (March 12).
The accident occurred at around 9.24pm on Thursday, prompting emergency response teams to rush to the scene.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba Sungai Merah), all occupants of the vehicles managed to exit safely with help from passersby, except for the Perodua Bezza driver who required assistance due to the vehicle being tilted from the impact.
The Operations Extraction Team helped remove the victim, who was then transported to the hospital via the EMRS vehicle for further treatment.
The crash caused debris to scatter across the road, but firefighters quickly cleared the site, ensuring traffic could resume safely.
The operation, led by PBK I Imran Ahmad was completed by 10.39pm. — DayakDaily
