SIBU, Aug 26: Five men involved in a fight in front of a bistro at Jalan Sena have each been fined RM800 in default two weeks’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court today.
Jackson Yii Hung Jack, Tiong Wei Kuok, Henry Ngo Chien Poh, Hi Toh Hing, and Ronnie Tang Bin Hua, aged between 29 and 50, pleaded guilty to the offence under Section 160 of the Penal Code for causing affray in a public place.
According to the brief facts of the case, a 42-second video of the fight, which a member of the public recorded, had gone viral.
The fight between two groups of men took place at about 12.30am on Aug 21.
The five accused persons were identified from the video recording; they also suffered injuries, mainly on their face and eye areas.
They were arrested two hours later. — DayakDaily
