KUCHING, May 2: Five longhouses in Mukah district will be under a two-week Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting May 3, until 16, 2021.
According to the State Disaster Management Committee (SCMD) in a press statement today, the five longhouses are Rumah Panjang Luni anak Jugah, Rumah Panjang Jali anak Empaling, Rumah Panjang Lanyau anak Tuli, Rumah Panjang Manna anak Mulok, and Rumah Panjang Nelson Chuat anak Glong.
SDMC said from a total of 587 new Covid-19 cases reported today, 67 per cent of the cases were recorded in five red zone districts throughout the state, which includes Mukah, together with Sibu, Bintulu, Kanowit and Kuching.
SDMC also announced the extension of the EMCO for Rh Juni Ulu Pedanum in Pakan from May 1-7, 2021, and Rh Terrance Tarang, Ng Selaut Lli in Julau from May 2-5, 2021.
On April 18, SDMC placed both longhouses under EMCO beginning from April 17, until April 30, 2021. — DayakDaily
