Five issued compound for SOP violation

KUCHING, Oct 30: Police issued five compound notices in Sarawak for violations related to Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) in the last 24 hours.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, reported that three compound notices were issued in Samarahan and one each in Miri and Sarikei.

The Local Government and Housing Ministry also issued 106 oral, written and seizure notices under Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) (36), Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) (20), Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) (17), Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) (17), Kuching South City Council (MBKS) (5), MD Serian (5), MDMJ (5) and MD Sarikei (1).

Compliance checks were also carried out on 1,356 premises throughout Sarawak involving 194 supermarkets, restaurants (289), factories (11), banks (103), government offices (38), hawkers (34), markets (50), houses of worship (56), recreational areas (34), construction sites (18) and others (529). —DayakDaily
