KUCHING, Jan 4: The 28-year-old man who was feared to have drowned after he was believed to have fallen from a boat while fishing alone at the Batang Oya River in Mukah was found today.
In a report by the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the body of Awang Ismail Awang Rosidi was found on the second day of the search and rescue (SAR) operation at around 8.50am.

“The body was found by the public approximately 800 metres from the shore, and was handed over to the police to be brought to Mukah Hospital,” said the report.
The operation ended at 9.40am.
On Saturday (Jan 3), an emergency call was made by the victim’s wife, who was informed that Awang Ismail was suspected to have fallen from his boat. — DayakDaily
