BINTULU, Nov 6: Incumbent Bintulu MP and Dudong assemblyman Dato Sri Tiong King Sing assures he has not forgotten Bintulu despite visiting Dudong often to check the situation on the ground there.
With some 23 years of working in Bintulu, he said he already has a strong and stable team there to back him up while he is going around in Dudong.
“In Bintulu, I’m grateful to have an entire team of about 30 members on the ground to attend to the people’s needs.
“In fact, in every branch or area, we have one person-in-charge. And I also have one chief to oversee everything, including in rural areas,” he said.
In Dudong, on the other hand, Tiong said more manpower is required and he refuses to employ those insincere in serving the people.
He also finds the need to go down to the ground to see for himself the issues and needs of the people in Dudong.
“I visit Dudong more, not because I’ve forgotten about Bintulu. It’s because I have a stable team here (in Bintulu).
“So, I go to Dudong myself more often to really understand the situation on the ground. Dudong is a new area for me,” he told DayakDaily in an exclusive interview at PDP Bintulu service centre.
Tiong is also Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) president and the Primer Minister’s Special Envoy to The People’s Republic of China. — DayakDaily
