KUCHING, Oct 15: The first Anak Sarawak Run in Kuala Lumpur will be held soon.
According to caretaker Senior Works Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, who is also Petra Jaya incumbent, the run will be organised by the Sarawak Volunteers Association (Sarawak Volunteers) with support from the Sarawak government.
“It will be recorded in the Malaysia Book of Record as the first run through a highway tunnel,” said Fadillah in his speech during the Lan Berambeh Sarawak 2022 dinner held at Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Center (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur tonight.
Lan Berambeh Sarawak 2022 saw the participation of more than 6,000 Sarawakians at the one-day event after a two-year hiatus.
Also present are the ceremony were Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, and other distinguished guests. — DayakDaily
