SAMALAJU, Aug 2: Someone called the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) today and reported that an individual was attempting suicide at ACRBC in Samalaju Industrial Port.
Bomba Samalaju station chief Hashim Morshidi said they received the call at 10.40am from an anonymous caller who claimed he could not remember his phone number.
Firefighters responded and rushed to the scene, only to find it was a fake call.
“Firefighters together with port auxiliary police officers attended and inspected the area as fast as they could,” he said.
“However, they could not find any person attempting suicide as reported by the caller,” he added,
