The operations commander reported that upon arrival, they found the car had overturned into a drain at the side of the road with three men, aged between 20 to 22, still trapped inside the vehicle.

The Bomba team proceeded to use the ‘S.A.V.E.R’ method to handle the situation, prioritising the stabilisation of the trapped victims, the vehicle, and the surrounding environment.

The Emergency Medical Response (EMRS) team then fitted the trapped victims with C-Collars as a precautionary safety measure while the rescue team worked to free them from the vehicle.

The rescue team had utilised one power unit, one telescopic ram, one FF4, and a rotatable cutter to cut and pry open the vehicle for them to safely extract the victims.

All three victims were conscious at the time, and suffered minor injuries from the accident.

The victims were then transported to the hospital for further treatment.

After ensuring that the situation is safe, the Bomba team returned to the station. – DayakDaily
