Firefighters move 77yo woman for medical care after Selangau floods cut off roads

SELANGAU, Feb 6: Firefighters assisted to move a 77-year-old woman in need of medical attention after severe flooding in Selangau rendered roads impassable.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Selangau received the emergency call at 8.47am today and swiftly mobilised a team of firefighters to the victim’s home near Dijih junction along Jalan Sibu-Selangau.

Braving floodwaters, the firefighters carefully carried the elderly woman on a stretcher to safety.

She was then transferred to a Civil Defence Force (APM) ambulance and taken to the Selangau clinic for medical treatment. — DayakDaily
