LIMBANG, Dec 15: A pet crocodile turned aggressive after escaping from its enclosure.
According to a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre spokesperson, the incident occurred in Kampung Imok, Jalan Pandaruan following which they received a distress call from the owner at about 12.30pm today.
The pet owner informed Bomba that the crocodile acted aggressively when he tried to recapture it.
Firefighters deployed to the scene and managed to capture the reptile with special tools and ropes before taking it back to the fire station.
It is understood that the crocodile will be surrendered to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) for further action. — DayakDaily
