KUCHING, May 31: A Toyota Alphard, a Toyota Tank and a Nissan Skyline GTR were totally destroyed in a devastating fire that affected the ground floor of a two-storey house in Jalan Sungai Apong this morning.
In an incident report, the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak said it was alerted to the fire at 3.46am.
Swiftly, firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station were dispatched to the scene.
The commanding officer reported that the fire had ravaged approximately 45 per cent of the two-story house.
Tragically, three vehicles — a Toyota Alphard, a Toyota Tank, and a Nissan Skyline GTR — were also destroyed in the fire.
Fortunately, all seven residents, including three men, three women, and a child, managed to escape the inferno before the arrival of the Bomba team.
There were no reported casualties or injuries.
Once the safety of the area was confirmed, the firefighters and their equipment returned to the station at 5.15am.
The cause of the fire and the total loss are still under investigation. — DayakDaily
