KUCHING, June 21: A devastating fire completely destroyed a two-storey house in Green Road last night, leaving its nine occupants without a home.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak promptly responded to the distress call received at about 6.49pm and firefighters from Padungan and Batu Lintang were dispatched to the scene.
Fortunately, all nine occupants managed to evacuate the premises before the arrival of the firefighters.
However, one of the victims who experienced breathing difficulties was taken to the hospital via ambulance for medical attention.
Bomba Sarawak said the loss incurred and cause of the fire are still under investigation. — DayakDaily
