KUCHING, June 21: A two-storey house located at Kampung Baru in Bintulu was devastated in a fire last night.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) was alerted about the incident at 11.38pm and immediately deployed a team to the scene.
According to the Bomba report, the house was empty when it caught fire. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control at 11.58om but 90 per cent of the house was already burnt. Losses from the fire are still being calculated.
The firefighters ended the operation at 12.40am before returning to their fire station. — DayakDaily
