MIRI, June 4: A fire completely destroyed a four-door rental house at Lorong Pujut Tanjung Batu 1C/2, Kampung Padang Kerbau here this morning.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) in a statement, there were no casualties or injuries reported during the incident.
The fire also destroyed a one-story permanent structure measuring 80×30 square feet at the premises.
Bomba reported that the house was occupied by three adult men, three adult women, and three teenagers.
“The fire department employed defensive techniques by deploying a 300-foot hose with two nozzles and two auxiliary channels.
“After ensuring that the fire was fully extinguished, the firefighters departed for the station,” read the statement.
Bomba further noted that overhauling work is still underway. — DayakDaily
