MIRI, Oct 2: The kitchen and storage room of a house converted into a preschool at Taman Delight were engulfed in flames this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Miri responded to the emergecy at 6.50am and a team of seven firefighters, led by operation commander PBK II Erec Unyi, were deployed to the scene.

The fire completely destroyed the storage room, while the kitchen sustained 80 per cent damage.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 7.06am. They then conducted an overhaul operation to ensure there were no remaining sources of ignition.
The entire operation concluded at nearly 8am after ensuring the site’s safety. — DayakDaily
