KUCHING, Oct 2: A fire broke out at an F&B outlet located at the basement of CityONE Megamall in Jalan Song here around noon today.
According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a team from Tabuan Jaya Fire Station was deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 12.41pm.
“The fire which involved an exhaust fan had caused 35 per cent damage to the kitchen of the premises but there was no structural damage to the building.
“The fire was successfully extinguished by the workers using two units of fire extinguishers,” it said.
No injuries or casualties were reported during the incident.
The Bomba team only carried out inspections on the site to ensure that the location was safe before returning to their station at 2.05pm. — DayakDaily
