KUCHING, July 5: A fire damaged public address (PA) system equipment stored inside a shop at Tabuan Square, Jalan Keranji, here tonight.
In a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a call was received at 8.10pm, and firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya station were deployed.
It was noted that the fire occurred inside a shop used as a storage area. The fire was estimated to have damaged about 20 per cent of the PA system equipment stored inside the shop, with no structural damage involved.
Firefighters used a first-aid hose line to extinguish the blaze before carrying out overhaul operations to ensure the fire was completely put out and that no hotspots remained.
No injuries were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
