Fire at Kpg Wireless in Miri leaves 80 residents homeless

MIRI, March 10: Twelve families comprising 80 people were left homeless after a fire damaged their houses at Kampung Wireless.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said they received an emergency call on the incident at 7.15am today.


No injuries or fatalities were reported, and the victims will be taken to a temporary shelter at the Kampung Lereng Bukit community hall.

Miri MP Chiew Choon Man visited and gave financial assistance to the families affected by the fire.
