KUCHING, March 22: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Jemut Masing opines that scientists, doctors and nurses are the ‘general and army’ in the frontline against Covid-19.
In a statement today, Masing asserted that fighting Covid-19 is not a typical battle where politicians decide and military generals execute the orders.
“This is where scientists, doctors and nurses are the ‘general and army’ while we politicians are a mere back-up group,” he added.
Masing also pointed out that in this battle of humans versus microbes, although led by politicians, scientists must also control and manage the fight alongside with the politicians.
“To lead this battle, we must be expeditious in our decisions, and the scientists involved must be very good in their field,” he added. — DayakDaily
