KUCHING, June 26: A 20-year-old female university student from Kuching was found murdered in a condominium unit in Mutiara Ville, Cyberjaya, with police investigations revealing that her suspected killer had withdrawn cash using her ATM card following her death.
According to a TVS news report, Sepang District Police chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman said police detected six ATM transactions made using the victim’s card around the Klang Valley.
The card was among several items reported missing, along with her laptop, mobile phone, and cash.
The female victim, a Bachelor of Physiotherapy student at a private university, was found dead yesterday morning (June 25).
She was identified as a 20-year-old Sikh woman from Kuching.
“There were no signs of forced entry at the scene. However, injuries were found on the victim’s head,” Norhizam said, citing initial investigations.
A post-mortem conducted at Hospital Serdang confirmed the cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head. Police confirmed there were no injuries suggesting sexual assault.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
Police are currently tracking down a male suspect believed to be the main perpetrator.
