KUCHING, Nov 8: Deputy Prime Minister and Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Senior Vice-President Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof is confident that Datuk Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman and Datuk Ibrahim Baki will retain their respective Tupong and Satok seats in the upcoming 13th Sarawak Election.
During his opening salutations at a PBB motorcycle convoy programme at Dewan Kampung Matang Batu 10 today, Fadillah appeared to signal that arrangements had been made for both incumbents to continue representing their respective constituencies after the election.
Referring to Fazzrudin, he said: “The Premier (Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg) has said that, God willing, he will continue as a candidate and, God willing, remain our assemblyman here.”
He then turned to Ibrahim, saying: “God willing, after this election, he will continue to be the assemblyman for Satok.”
Looking ahead to the polls, Fadillah urged PBB members and supporters to actively mobilise their election machinery to secure a decisive victory for Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) across the State.
He said the party’s machinery must work hard to ensure voters turn out in large numbers on Dec 12 and deliver a big victory for GPS throughout Sarawak.
