MIRI, May 6: A single vehicle crash yesterday along Jalan Miri-Bintulu, claimed the lives of three individuals, while four others survived.
The group was en route from Taman Tunku to Belaga to deliver a wedding proposal.
The deceased, comprising two men and a woman, lost their lives at the scene, succumbing to the impact of the crash before medical personnel could intervene.
The surviving passengers, managed to escape the wreckage, albeit with injuries. They were taken to Batu Niah Clinic.
A Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) team was swiftly mobilised to the scene following an emergency call received at 6.50pm.
Initial investigations suggest that a burst tyre led to the vehicle veering off course, and ultimately colliding with a roadside signboard and lamp post. — DayakDaily
