MIRI, March 31: One man was killed in a head-on collision today along the Miri Bypass road, which also left another driver injured.
The deceased, in his 20’s, succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment at Miri Hospital.
A team of 11 firefighters from Lopeng fire station was immdiately despatched to the scene after receiving an alert over the incident at 3.05pm.
According to Lopeng fire station chief Terry Robson, the injured driver was a firefighter attached with Lopeng fire station.
The actual cause of the incident has yet to be ascertained as the investigation is underway. — DayakDaily
