KUCHING, April 3: Traffic congestion issues at the entrance to Farley Supermarket, Bandar Riyal Commercial Centre, at Kota Samarahan will be brought up to the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS).

According to a TVS news report, Farley director Eiyen Lau said it is part of his responsibility to ensure the comfort of supermarket visitors and road users is prioritised.

ā€œA more effective proposal has been voiced to MPKS to relieve the situation.

ā€œFarley can work with MPKS and government agencies to make Bandar Riyal a comfortable and safe commercial centre for those who shop here,ā€ he was quoted as saying.

Lau made the remarks when speaking at the Yayasan Farleyā€™s ā€˜Majlis Sentuhan Kasihā€™ programme yesterday (April 2).

According to him, in an effort to contribute to the community, Farley also takes care of the landscape and cleanliness around the Bandar Riyal area by bearing all the costs of flower trees and maintenance to brighten the atmosphere.

ā€œPolice huts were also built and maintained to ensure the safety of the public in addition to being able to prevent and reduce the crime rate around Bandar Riyal,ā€ he noted.

At the program, Farley treated 30 orphans from six schools, SK Jalan Muara Tuang, SK Merdang, SK Pengkalan Kuap, SMK Kota Samarahan, SMK Pasentren Abdul Taib Mahmud, and SMK Muara Tuang.

This initiative is one of Farleyā€™s ways of contributing to the community to appreciate the support given to their business.

ā€œHopefully this donation can help in terms of giving love so that they can also guide the community one day,ā€ Lau remarked. ā€” DayakDaily
