Family of 8 in Sarikei rendered homeless after fire destroys house

KUCHING, Oct 21: A family of eight in Sarikei have been rendered homeless after their house was completely razed by a fire earlier today.

According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation center, they received the call regarding the incident at 2.19am and deployed firefighters from Bomba Sarikei to the location.

Upon arrival, the operation commander reported that the house, which is located at Jalan Teck, was completely destroyed in the incident.


Firefighters then proceed to extinguish the flame using water source from the fire truck, before returning to the station after ensuring the situation was safe. — DayakDaily
