KUCHING, May 6: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) will prioritise the task of ensuring the stability of the unity government, says Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof.

The Deputy Prime Minister, who is also GPS chief whip, said the party would abide by the wish of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatunddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who called for a stable government to restore the country’s economy.

“For GPS, that is our focus and we will not get into pointless politicking.

“Now is the time for us to develop our country,” he told a press conference at a local hotel, yesterday.

Fadillah was responding to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s comment that he was confident that the unity government will remain until the next general election. — DayakDaily
