KUCHING, Dec 27: Express boat trips for the Limbang-Lawas and Lawas-Limbang routes will be increased to two trips per day on Dec 28 and 29 to meet expected increased demand from travellers.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today citing Limbang Resident Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi, the trip frequency was increased to meet the anticipated demand by travellers returning to their hometowns either in Limbang or Lawas.
“The trip from Limbang to Lawas is increased for two days which is on Dec 28 and 29 from 2pm and from Lawas to Limbang from 2pm,” he said in a press statement yesterday.
Prior to this, express boat services either from Lawas to Limbang and Limbang to Lawas were operating once per day.
Ahmad Denny believed the increased trips will enable residents in Lawas and Limbang to deal with government matters as the offices of several federal government agencies are not available in Lawas. — DayakDaily
