SIBU, July 30: The operation of express boat services for the Kuching-Sibu-Kuching sector has been suspended from Aug 1-14 following Kuching reverting to Covid-19 red zone status.
Notices have been put up in advance at the Sibu express boat terminal to inform boat users on the matter.
A spokesman from the Sarawak Rivers Board said that two express boats, Bahagia Express 1 and 8, will operate until July 31 before the postponement.
“Operations for the Kuching-Sibu-Kuching route will resume on August 15 if the inter-zone travel restriction is lifted,” he said.
Bahagia express boats travel from Kuching to Sibu at 8.30 am and from Sibu to Kuching at 11.30 am. — DayakDaily
