MIRI, May 2: Excellence Physio and Rehab Centre in Miri has been announced as the strategic partner for Sarawak United Football Club III (SUFC III).
The announcement was made today here by SUFC III manager Nazri Ahmad Lai during a press conference.
The centre is located at Faradale Garden Miri.
“The collaboration will give SUFC III’s players access to a range of healthcare services at the centre including injury treatment plans where necessary,” Nazri said.
He also introduced three female physiotherapists for SUFC III , namely Sharon Jara Lee, Lizabeth Umbau and Jennifer Ee Siew ling.
They are amongst 11 new fitness-cum-medical personnel tasked with looking after SUFC III’s 30 players aged 17 to 19.
“We are thrilled to be strengthening our collaboration with Excellence Physio and Rehab Centre,” Nazri said, adding the collaboration signals the club’s commitment to its players’ health and wellness.
“We also thank the Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) for their continuous support in developing our youth football programme especially SUFC III,” he disclosed.
SUFC III under coach Pengiran Bala is set to kick off its first match for the Youth Cup in June this year.
SUFC III are in Group C together with Terengganu FC IV, Sabah FC, PJ City FC, Kuching City FC and Selangor FC.
