Hanoi Stars Dance Festival: Eunice Ling, Cordelia Wee win 2 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze for Sarawak

KUCHING, July 8: Sarawak DanceSport athletes Eunice Ling and Cordelia Wee have successfully brought home two gold, two silver, and three bronze medals in the Hanoi Stars Dance Festival held in Bac Ninh, Hanoi, from July 5 to 7.

According to a statement by the Sarawak DanceSport Association today, Ling obtained two gold medals in the Hanoi Rising Star Junior II Single Dance events with her Samba and Paso Doble dances.


She also won silver in Jive and two bronzes in the Rumba and Cha Cha Cha dance events.

In the WDSF Youth Solo Latin and Junior II Solo Latin events, she was placed a commendable fifth and seventh place respectively.

Wee, on the other hand, won a bronze in the Asia Star Adult events before grabbing the Hanoi Rising Star Adult Female Single Dance silver with her Samba dance.

She was also placed fourth and fifth in the Paso Doble and Rumba events, respectively.

Meanwhile, other younger team members, namely Erin Ung, Arabelle Leah, and Valery Chung, were also commended for their great effort in qualifying for the quarter-final and semi-final in their various dance events participated.

Team coach Cindy Chung of Russell, Randall & Cindy Dance Company expressed her satisfaction with the overall achievements while noting the dancers’ potential for further progress in future competitions. — DayakDaily
