KAPIT, Oct 9: An elderly British national was found dead in his house in Taman Kapit on Wednesday (Oct 7).
Kapit district police chief Deputy Supt Freddy Bian revealed today that the case has been classified as sudden death.
The deceased has been identified as Ian William, 66, from Britain. He was staying alone in the house in Taman Kapit as his wife was away in Kuala Lumpur.
Freddy said at about 4.30pm on Oct 7, a 40-year-old woman went to visit the deceased who was her uncle.
“She found the house quiet and decided to check the upper level of the house and was shocked to find the man dead in the bathroom,” he added.
The body had been sent to Kapit Hospital for post mortem. — DayakDaily
