ASAJAYA, June 6: Seven roadblocks have been set up at Kampung Jaie, Sadong Jaya here to restrict movement of people.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the village has 2,344 residents from 286 families, and is currently under an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from June 3 to June 16, 2021.
“Following that, the police and the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) acted to exercise strict control by carrying out seven roadblock operations in the area to ensure that there was no in-and-out movement at the village,” Ukas reported.
In the meantime, Baitulmal and the State Social Welfare Department (JKMS) have also sent food aid to the Operating Room and Community Hall of Kampung Jaie to be distributed to the villagers and also the frontliners involved. — DayakDaily
