KUCHING, Mar 15: The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be placed at Kampung Bintawa Ulu and Tengah here from tomorrow until Mar 30, 2021.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) made the announcement through a press statement issued today.
“EMCO will be enforced on Kampung Bintawa Ulu and Tengah effective Mar 16, 12.01 am until Mar 30, 2021 (11.59 pm).
“The decision has been made in view of increasing positive Covid-19 cases emerging from the village,” said SDMC.
When contacted, Sarawak Health Director Dr Chin Zin Hing said there were seven cases detected in Kampung Bintawa, causing the village to be placed under EMCO.
“We have done active case detection and are waiting for results,” said Dr Chin. — DayakDaily
