EMCO announced for 4 areas as Sarawak tightens defenses against Covid-19

KUCHING, June 3: Kampung Empila in Samarahan is one of the four other areas which have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) today.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement today said the EMCO implementation in Kampung Empila will take place from tomorrow (June 4) to June 17.

“Three other areas are Rh Jerry Lai Kampung Singa in Sri Aman (June 2-15) and Kampung Jaie in Asajaya (June 3-16), while for Rh Sigah anak Lak in Sg Baoh Burak in Dalat, the EMCO will start on June 5 until June 8,” it said.

Meanwhile, according to the committee, the EMCO implementation in three areas namely in Rh Ajing Selepong Lop and Rh Aji Sunga Ban, both in Sri Aman, were extended from June 2 until June 15, while in Rh Keli, Sg Minus it will be extended from June 7 to June 10.

On the same note, SDMC also announced the end of EMCO implemented in eight areas namely in Rh Keli, Sg Minus (June 3), Rh Bene Jumat anak Ujan (June 3), Kampung Boyan in Kuching (June 3), Rh Ribun, Sg Klampai in Saratok (June 3), Rh Joseph anak Rungkai, Batu 8, Jalan Maskat in labang, Sebauh (June 3).

This includes Rh Lipa, Sg Sepayang in Meradong (June 4), Rh Rihya, Jagoi Lama in Pakan (June 5), and in Rh Saba, Ulu Nunggang in Pakan (June ). — DayakDaily
