SIBU, March 16: A 71-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in an accident with a car at Jalan Dr Wong Soon Kai today.
Acting Sibu District Police Chief Supt Collin Babat said in 7.15am incident, the victim was riding his machine towards the town area when his machine hit the rear of a car.
“At the time of the accident the car which was driven by a woman was turning left into a shopping centre. This resulted in the motorcycle crashing into the back of the car,” he said.
The victim who is from Jalan Bunga Dahlia suffered a serious head injury and died on the spot.
The car driver together with three family members were unhurt. — DayakDaily
