Elderly man with heart disease, 31 y.o woman among 12 deaths, 2 BID cases

KUCHING, Oct 16: Two Covid-19 brought-in-dead (BID) cases reported in Sarawak today involved a 31-year-old woman from Betong and a 73-year-old man from Bintulu.

State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the woman who had high blood pressure, dyslipidemia and obesity comorbidities passed away on Oct 4 while the man who suffered from obstructive coronary artery disease departed on Oct 11.

Apart from the two BID cases, the committee also reported 10 deaths related to Covid-19 which occured between Oct 12 and 15, pushing the State’s death toll so far to 1,084.


There was one casualty reported on Oct 12 involving a 65-year-old man from Sarikei who had cancer.

The backlog of cases continued with three cases each reported on Oct 13, 14 and 15, involving individuals aged between 49 to 82.— DayakDaily
