BELAGA, Dec 30: A 60-year-old man is feared to have drowned after falling from a boat while out searching for durians along Sungai Benatu, Punan Bah, earlier this morning.
According to a statement from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the victim, Micheal Sait Lanyau, disappeared at around 7.30am when his boat capsized.

Several villagers witnessed the incident from a distance. Search efforts are currently being carried out by villagers, and a police report has been lodged for further action.
A team from the Belaga Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), led by PB Vildeo Dumat, was deployed to the scene.
