KUCHING, Dec 7: Two classrooms and a storage room were damaged at Chung Hua Middle School No 1, Pending, in an early morning fire here today.
The three rooms, all located at the ground floor of its study block, were 25 per cent damaged, said the state Fire and Rescue Department.
Firefighters from the Padungan and Tabuan fire stations were deployed after its operations centre received an emergency call at 1.01am.
“After arriving at the location, firefighters found that the fire have destroyed 25 per cent of rooms.
“Firefighters managed to control the fire from spreading and completely put it out by 1.49am,” the department said.
The operations ended at around 2.30am. No injuries were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
