KUCHING, June 10: Dudong assemblyman Dato Seri Tiong King Sing has made special arrangements with the relevant supplier to secure 300 red cylinders for his constituents following complaints of difficulties in exchanging their yellow liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders for the red ones.
In a press statement, he said Dudong residents in need can contact the Dudong Service Centre at 084-325779 or 084-326779, and that their staff will assist in coordinating and arranging the exchange as soon as possible.
“Due to a shortage of red LPG cylinders in the market, many have expressed frustration trying to exchange their cylinders, which has caused various inconveniences in their daily lives.
“To address this pressing issue, the Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) had previously organised yellow-to-red cylinder exchange events in areas such as Durin and Pulau Li Hua, which were met with an enthusiastic public response.
“The PDP will continue to monitor this issue closely, in the hope of playing our part to ease the burden faced by the people,” said Tiong, who is also Bintulu MP and federal Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. — DayakDaily
