Drug trafficker arrested in Miri with RM12,842 worth of drugs seized

The suspected drugs found hidden in the suspect's room.

MIRI, Oct 11: The police here have detained a suspected drug trafficker and seized drugs weighing 64.21 grammes, with an estimated value of RM12,842, in a raid conducted on Tuesday.

Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu stated that the 28-year-old suspect was apprehended by a team from the Miri Narcotics Crimes Investigation Department around 9.45 am during a raid carried out on a shophouse in the area.

“Substances were discovered inside one of the rooms during a search conducted inside the premises,” he stated in a statement on Tuesday night.


The case will be investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
