KUCHING, Jan 14: A male driver suffered multiple injuries following a single-vehicle accident along Jalan Matang today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, they received a call regarding the accident at 6.45am and dispatched Bomba Petra Jaya to the location.
The operations commander reported that in the incident, a Proton Iswara steered into the roadside ditch, causing the victim to be trapped in the driver’s seat.
Firefighters then proceeded to extricate the victim, and he was handed over to the Emergency Medical Rescue Service team for initial treatment at the location.
He was later brought to the hospital for further treatment.
The operation ended at 7.19am after firefighters ensured the situation was safe and controlled. — DayakDaily
