KUCHING, May 17: A 25-year-old driver sustained injuries following a single-vehicle road accident along Jalan Crookshank 2 in Kuching.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today reported that they were initially informed about the accident by the police at 12.47am and dispatched Bomba Batu Lintang to the location.
The operations commander reported that the victim, who was driving a Perodua Myvi, was believed to have lost control and crashed into the water pipeline on the roadside.
After conducting a size-up, firefighters found that the victim was still inside the vehicle and unconscious.
He was later extracted from the vehicle and was given initial medical treatment at the location before being handed over to Batu Lintang Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit to be transported to Sarawak General Hospital. — DayakDaily
