KUCHING, Jan 9: A lorry driver suffers head injuries after losing control of his vehicle in Bukit Begunan along Jalan Sri Aman-Serian, early this morning.
According to Sri Aman fire station in a statement today, after receiving the call regarding the incident at 1.29 am, a team of eight firefighters led by PBK II Chimian Anak Duyu were deployed to the location.
“Firefighters arriving at the incident location found that a cargo lorry, laden with fertilisers, had landed on its side, in the middle of the road, after the driver lost control of the vehicle while heading down from Bukit Begunan towards Kuching.
“The lorry’s driver, who suffers from a head injury, and its attendant managed to escape from the lorry’s cabin, and was given an initial treatment at the location before being brought to Sri Aman Hospital for further treatment,” it said.
The statement noted the lorry’s attendant was not injured in the incident, and firefighters continue to monitor the situation together with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) personnel.
“After ensuring that the situation is under control, the operation ended at 3.50 am,” the statement added. –DayakDaily.
