BINTULU, Oct 29: A 29-year-old man suffered injuries when the vehicle he was driving crashed at Tanjung Batu and caught fire in the wee hours today.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre said they receive a distress call at 1.23am.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim had lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to swerve at Jalan Tun Openg before hitting a tree.
The impact of the crash caused the car to burst into flames. Although the victim managed to get out of the car, he suffered some injuries to his face and hands.
The car was 100 per cent damaged. — DayakDaily
